Item Description

The cardiovascular system is an important system, and its health contributes to a sense of health and well-being. Nature’s Sunshine’s Cardio Support provides support to the cardiovascular system, supplying some of the nutrients necessary to maintain good health and to support its function.

Ginkgo was used in Traditional Chinese Medicine to ‘benefit the brain’ and also to assist in the relief of coughs. In more recent times it has been found to be useful in relieving poor circulation to the legs which results in weakness and pain brought on by walking, and poor circulation to the brain that can result in poor memory and poor concentration.
Hawthorn has traditionally been used in Europe as a cardiotonic to support the cardiovascular system.
Lime Flowers have a number of different properties, including anti-spasmodic, sedative, diuretic and mildly astringent. It can be useful as a tonic to the cardiovascular system, as well as helping to relieve nervous irritability.
Vitamin E is a fat-soluble vitamin with anti-oxidant properties. It can assist circulation, as well as help to maintain healthy nerves and muscles.
L-Carnitine is considered to be an amino acid. It helps to transport long-chain fatty acids to the cells where they are burned to provide one of the major sources of energy for the muscles, including the heart muscle.
Co-enzyme Q10 is a vitamin-like substance that has a similar action to Vitamin E. It plays a key role in energy production and is necessary for all energy-dependent processes.
Alpha-lipoic acid is found to have anti-oxidant properties. When there is an excess in the body it can be used to produce energy.
Vitamin B6 (Pyridoxine hydrochloride) may help to inhibit homocysteine formation. Homocysteine is an amino acid produced in the body during the metabolism of methionine. Increased levels can contribute to damage to the blood vessel walls.

Therapeutic Use
Herbs traditionally used to maintain a health cardiovascular system, with Co Q10, L-Carnitine, Vitamin E and Alpha-Lipoic Acid added to support their action.

Active Ingredients
Each tablet contains extracts equivalent dry:
Ginkgo biloba (Ginkgo) leaf 500mg
Crataegus laevigata (Hawthorn) berries 500mg
Tilia X vulgaris (Lime) flowers 152mg
l-Carnitine 100mg
d-Alpha tocopherol succinate (equivalent natural vitamin E 50IU) 47mg
Alpha-lipoic acid 20mg
Co Q10 10mg
Pyridoxine hydrochloride (equivalent vitamin B6 8.23mg) 10mg

Dosage
For adults: take one tablet twice daily, or as directed by your healthcare practitioner.
