Item Description

Green Tea has been used for thousands of years in Asia as a pleasant refreshing beverage and as a medicine.

It is produced from the natural steamed and dried leaves of the tea plant (Camellia sinensis). This process preserves the colour, flavour and antioxidant health benefits of the original plant. All green, black and oolong teas are derived from the same plant, however green tea, unlike black and oolong, is not fermented, so the active antioxidant constituents remain unaltered in the herb.

Green Tea is rich in bioflavonoid polyphenols (50.6%), particularly catechins which are powerful antioxidants that fortify the immune system. They are also beneficial for healthy liver function, and have anti-allergy properties.

Ideal for:
Green tea has been shown to stimulate the immune system beneficially and assist with detoxification.
Green tea assists with digestive discomfort.
Not ideal for:
Contains caffeine. We recommend only one cup daily during pregnancy and breastfeeding.
Not recommended for those with anxiety or insomnia disorders.
Directions for Use:
Traditional Chinese Medicine has recommended green tea for headaches, to improve digestion, lift the spirits, enhance the immune system, and as a detoxifier and energizer.
Green tea is traditionally served without milk or sugar.
