Thanks to a remarkably low incidence of heart disease among Eskimo people (despite high fat intake) science has looked into the cardio protective effects of fish oils and uncovered many other health benefits. The flesh of deep-sea fish such as salmon contains high amounts of the therapeutically active Omega 3 fatty acids, eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA) and docosahexaenoic acid (DHA). These essential fatty acids play a key role in a range of body processes from regulating blood pressure to reducing inflammation and boosting immune system function.

In the past, some have found that supplementing with Salmon Oil has left them with fishy re flux. Now there is a solution to Fish Breath! Patented technology has enabled Thompson's to release new Reflux-Free Salmon Oil. Micro emulsion of the fish oil means that it is dispersed into millions of tiny droplets, this facilitates incorporation of the oil into the food contents of the stomach, thereby eliminating the odour that comes from standard fish oils that form a layer on the surface of the gastric juice. The smell is further masked by the addition of natural orange oil.

Thompson's Reflux-Free Salmon Oil capsules can now be swallowed or even chewed without any fish burps afterwards! In fact the soft capsules can be squeezed into water or juice - an ideal dosage form for young children. Other standard fish oil supplements create a fishy-smelling reflux that can last up to 2 hours afterwards. As an additional masking agent, natural orange oil has been added to give a pleasant flavour to the capsules. The orange in this formulation is 100% natural orange derived from cold pressed Australian Valencia oranges.

Indications for Use
Fish oils are important in the treatment and prevention of heart disease in several ways.

They are able to decrease triglyceride levels and fatty build-up on the artery walls, reduce platelet stickiness (thereby keeping the blood flowing and reducing the risk of blood clots that may lead to strokes) and lower blood pressure. Within artery walls, Omega 3's may also inhibit inflammation, a factor in plaque formation. Contraindications
Use with caution in bleeding disorders. Consult a GP before use with anticoagulant therapy. Stop this supplement 2 weeks prior to surgery.
